The MY Hermes is a 76 foot fully equipped Lambro speedboat built in Lavrio, Greece.

Powered by twin 680hp motors, the Hermes was built to provide a comfortable cruising experience although the same model is also used by the Hellenic Coastguard - a true testament to its durability and safety record.

The Hermes sailed around the Aegean Sea (Skiathos, Skopelos and the Alonissos Islands) before being bought by the Captain and his Family. 2016 has been a busy year for the Hermes – she has recently had a full engine service and has new bow thrusters and stabilisers to ensure your experience with us is as smooth and relaxing as possible! Needless to say, the vessel is supported by a complete GPS tracking and navigation system.

Since the 1930's the VALSAMIS family has been operating seafaring businesses. Captain KOSTAS was born on the Greek island of Kefalonia and like his father and grandfather before him, he has spent his life working the seas around the island. He has been a Captain since very young, working on private yachts and later on tourist cruises around the island. Outside of the season, he works with the family on their fishing boat and so has an intimate and expansive knowledge of the waters around Kefalonia.

The Captain and his crew will tell you this is far more than a job; it is also a passionate hobby. They love their work, especially meeting their guests and ensuring their happiness throughout their time on-board the Hermes. Ask them nicely and they may even let you drive the boat!

Most importantly, the Hermes is a family run boat so you will get to meet and be part of the Hermes family whilst you are travelling with us. Except of the Captain Kostas, you’ll meet his brother Dimitri, while his wife Maggie will arrange everything necessary for your booking requirements.

Finally you may even meet the youngest generation (4th generation) either on bookings either onboard Hermes. The Captain and the crew ensure a safe and relaxing day cruise and hope that a journey with Hermes and the family is the high point of your trip to Kefalonia!
